Every year we add reference books, story books and other supportive materials to upgrade and update our school library. We have variety of books from Oxford, Cambridge, Britannica, Discovery and also CDs to enhance the quality of education.
What is Learning Disability?
“Dyslexia is not a disease; it’s a neurological problem that affects only academics. Hence called Learning disability.”
A Learning disability is a neurological disorder in simple terms, a learning disability results from a difference in the way a person’s brain is ‘wired’. Children with a Learning disability are as smart or smarter than their peers.
1. A Resource room is a separate, remedial classroom in our school where students with educational disabilities, are given specialized instruction and academic remediation.
2. The School organized a 6-Day workshop in collaboration with MDA (Madras Dyslexia Association) for mainstream teachers on “ How to identify Learning Disability (LD) in the classroom” and on “How to provide early intervention in the classroom”.
3. MDA provided training to our Resource room teacher in the following aspects.
